Why are there two sections called Projects?

When we updated the navigation on SpyFu, everything that was at the top is now on the left. We wanted a cleaner way to differentiate between tracking that you would do on your own sites (Projects) and wider research when you dive into keywords and deeper domain work (Research).

That leaves us with two sections titled "Projects."

Projects on the left are how we categorized the My Sites projects. These let you add a specific website and get daily snapshots of its keyword count (and keywords listed), clicks, and avg position. You can track multiple sites with the Pro plan and higher.

The projects on the right from an older tracking system. Imagine it like a folder for your work on SpyFu. Create a folder for one domain at a time, and store specific keywords in that folder. Inside, you could even view the domain's SEO and PPC ranks for those keywords. That is available in both individual view and group views like "Highest ROI potential" or custom groups like "Content Updates."

The one on the right is one of the last parts of SpyFu that pulls from older data. It currently shows only Top 10 ranks for the keywords listed. It updates weekly.

The one of the left is built on newer data that carries across the rest of the site. It updates constantly in a sweep.

This is a temporary split. We are working on adding more clarity for you between the features.
