Where did these fixes come from? How did SpyFu know what to write?
Each fix is written around the keyword SpyFu recommends for that page — drawn from what the page already ranks for in search results. The fixes are grounded in your own data, not generic templates. SpyFu generates the title tag, meta description, H1, and social tags together as a set aimed at that keyword.
Why do some pages have fixes ready, and others don't?
Pages that already rank for a keyword get a recommended target and a ready-made fix built around it. Pages that don't rank yet don't give SpyFu enough data to base a recommendation on — for those, you choose the target keyword yourself, then generate the fix from it. And some issue types aren't the kind SpyFu can rewrite for you (broken links, for example) — those come with a step-by-step guide instead.
Can I trust what these fixes say? What if something isn't accurate?
Read each fix the way a customer would. You know your business — if a specific claim doesn't match it, edit the fix before you publish. The fixes are a starting point, not a final draft. Nothing goes live until you publish it, so you have full control over what gets approved.
How do I edit a fix?
Click into any field in the fix — title, meta description, H1 — and type your changes directly. Your edits are saved and carried through when you publish.
What does Preview do?
Preview shows the fix applied to your page — exactly as it would appear — without publishing anything. You can preview as many times as you like; your live site is not affected.
What's an AI credit, and when does one get used?
An AI credit is used when you generate a new set of recommendations for a page — the title, meta description, H1, and social tags all together count as one credit. Your first batch of fixes came included with your plan, so no credits were spent getting you to this point. Credits are not used when you browse results, assign keywords, preview fixes, or publish.
Does choosing or changing a keyword use a credit?
No. Assigning or changing a Target Keyword never uses a credit. A credit is only used when you generate recommendations — that is, when SpyFu writes a new fix based on the target you've set.
What happens to issues that can't be auto-fixed?
Any issue that Site Audit can't fix for you comes with a guided walkthrough — step-by-step instructions in plain language. You can work through it yourself or package it to hand off to whoever manages your site.
